I hope you will enjoy travelling with me into the ART WORLD of Ancient China Hsiu Norcott graduated from Taiwan Normal University and majored in classic Chinese Fine Art. She started painting on rice paper and silk with brush strokes based on Chinese Calligraphy but after her move to the USA, she changed her technique by using Aquabord, acrylics and gold leaf All these changes allowed her to share a more vibrant and colorful Art Imagery Born in a family of textile business for generations, helped her develop a keen attention to detail and get inspired by textile designs Also, having been exposed to the Peking Opera at an early age, and to the Chinese Calligraphy be her father as a child, guided her towards an Art of dancing fields where leaves, flowers, buds, insects, bees and birds all seem to dance to the sound of music. Telling her own story through the imagery of nature, has led Hsiu to get awards from the Currier Museum of Art and countless juried Exhibits and galleries shows in the New England area. She still continues her story telling by introducing new animals, rabbits, cats, lions, pandas in her colorful world of flowers and fields
